Biography

Joseph White, son of Jonathan and Hester (Nickerson) White was born probably in Yarmouth, Massachusetts, about 1702. He was "in his 80th year" when he died in 1782.^[1]

He married at Yarmouth, 21 Jun 1737 Lydia Baker.^[2][1] Lydia, daughter of Nathaniel and Elizabeth (Baker) Baker, was born 18 Feb 1705/6, in Yarmouth and died there 4 May 1780 in her 75th year. Nathaniel's 1750 will named his wife Elizabeth and daughter Lydia White.^[1]

Joseph's will was dated 7 Mar 1775 and proved 20 Aug 1782. He named his wife Lydia, daughter Anna Crowell, granddaughter Huldah Crowell, and son Joseph White.^[1][3]
