Daniel White was named as eldest son in the 1704 will of his father Peregrine White. Peregrine also named his wife Sarah,[1] who was formerly Sarah Bassett, the mother of Daniel and his siblings. It is estimated that he was born about 1649. His parents had been fined for fornication before marriage on 6 Mar 1648/9.[2]
Daniel White married Hannah Hunt 19 August 1674 in Marshfield.[3][4][2] She was last known to be living 25 May 1721, and has not been identified.[2]
Mr. Daniel White died at Marshfield 6 May 1724 age 70 according to the vital records[5] or age 75 according to his gravestone, in the Cedar Grove Cemetery, in Marshfield.[6][7]
His will was dated 25 May 1721, and proved, 28 May 1724. He named his wife Hannah, sons John and Joseph, and five youngest sons Thomas, Cornelius (also named executor), Benjamin, Eleazer and Ebenezer.[8] An inventory of his goods was taken 8 June 1724.[9]
