Lorentz -177 After reviewing notes and previous information after adding his parents and other source material I removed Eva Kaufman as his wife. Note change of his birthday and place of birth. I did note want to add her to anyone else as I don't know who her husband should be. In the notes they suggest a parents but they are not the parents of Lorentz-177. Note no middle name. On all documents no middle name used. Before I edit children which are listed in with birthdates I wanted to get in touch. I wasn't sure how active you are with this profile?

Hi Abby, I saw that we match on GEDmatch and thanks to your link there to your wikitree, I was able to figure out how you connect back to my line in Norway. That allowed me to connect our lines up now here in wikitree, so you should see more of your tree back in Norway and should have enough clues now to hunt down more records for your Hans and Johannes Sætre to fill out their profiles. I will check our shared dna to see if we might be able to triangulate our link back to Norway to 'prove' it. You might want to check the updated guidance for Norwegian names here in wikitree -- it changed since we both joined, and now the LNAB should be 'Hansen' and the Current last name Sætre for your Johannes, so you will need to change those LNABs.

Awesome! Thank you cousin!

I am sorry but I don’t know what an nlab is. I appreciate your help! If there is anything that needs to be updated, please go ahead as I am not able to put the attention needed to do it right now. I am excited to check out all the new info when I have a chance. 😊

Apologies -- you have already done such good work, I thought you were an expert! LNAB=Last name at birth, which is the surname that should be used for naming the profile, rather than their name later in life that may have changed for whatever reason. Only you as the manager of a profile can change the LNAB (it is one of the fields in the first part of the profile). But there is no hurry! It will help you understand wikitree a little better, too. Btw, it makes us 4th cousins 3 times removed (your side of the family line appears to have been much more in a hurry to marry young and have children than on my side, hence you have had 3 more generations over that period than my side has ;)) Also, I will try to add more sources to the Norway-side folks -- you doesn't make sense for you to learn your way around Norwegian sources for just a couple of profiles.

Abby:

I see you have put a unmatched merge between Hannah Woodward and husband Thomas White. You cannot do this. I will propose a merge between the 2 Hannah profiles and 2 Thomas profiles and you can approve the merge. Thanks Beth
