Captain Alexander White, Jr.
Served in the Revolutionary War from 1776-1779 as Capt in the Army.
Wagonmaster General's Dept under Col. Jacob West Deputy Quartermaster General. Surveyor and Washington sent them to Virginia with Alexander's brother Samuel to survey. Leased land that had belonged to Thomas Lord Fairfax estate records show Alexander leased land 4 Dec 1790 in Hardy county now Lewis Co VA. WV. sold lease in 1797 moved to Harrison County now Lewis co located near jackson's mill on Freemans creek. Bought land in 1809. died 1814/5 Mary died 1826. Bill of Sale is record in Clarksburg Lewis Co WV bk 1 page 220.
Settled in Harrison County near a place called Jackson's Mill.
