Benjamin Woodard White was born on July 6, 1917 in Bailey, Mississippi, the son of Charles E. White and Nanny Lee (Kittrell) White.[1]

The 1920 U.S. Census shows Ben at age 2, living in the home of his Grandfather in Daleville, Mississippi with his parents and 3 siblings.[2]
In 1929, Woodard attended school in the Obidiah School District of Lauderdale County, Mississippi. He was 12 at the time. His brothers Chester and Robert, and sisters Inez and Ruth were also enrolled at the time.
The 1930 U.S. Census has Ben at age 12 living with his family in Beat 3, Lauderdale, Mississippi.[3]
There is a Benjamin W. White recorded in the United States World War II Army Enlistment Records as enlisting in the U.S. Army at Camp Shelby, Mississippi on July 23, 1942. The name, race, and year of birth is accurate, but it has not been proven that this is the correct Benjamin.[4]
Benjamin died on January 14, 1947 in Germany and was buried at Mount Carmel Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Obadiah, Lauderdale County, Mississippi.[5]
