On March 3, 1879 Matilda Clark Cox married James White who was born in Ireland in May 1845 to unknown parents. They had five more children together; Matilda Jane, my great grandmother, born December 1879, Jane, Martha, James Joseph and Thomas.
The family lived at 200 W. Cumberland Street in 1880 and by 1900 purchased a home at 168 W. Huntingdon Street.
On February 14, 1907 Matildda Clark White died of cirrhosis of the liver at age 59 at their residence.
On October 29, 1918 James White died at age 73 of a cerebral hemorrhage.
They are buried in Mount Moriah Cemetery in Philadelphia.
