Thomas Bateman White was born March 11, 1834, in Whitestown, PA, to Matthew and Mary Bateman White. He was the oldest of 10 children. [1] He married Jane McQuiston and they were the parents of six children. [2][3] He served as a Sargeant in the Civil War; both his father and his brother Lewis also served. [4][5] Thomas died June 29, 1914 and is buried in Butler County, PA. [6]
