At the time of the 1851 England and Wales Census, Elizabeth, Eliza, Alfred, Sarah, Emily, Ann, Harriet, and James White were listed as living in St Albans, along with two lodgers[3]. At the time of the census, Eliza's occupation was listed as "Hat Maker".
Eliza married George Welch in Saint Pancras, London on 28 June 1858[4].
At the time of the 1861 England, Wales & Scotland Census, George F., Eliza, Eliza E., and Clara J. Welch were living at 2 Everilda Street, Islington, together with Eliza's mother Elizabeth and sister Emily White, an orphan named James Fary, a boarder, and three visitors[5].
At the time of the 1871 England, Wales & Scotland Census, George F., Eliza, Eliza E., Clari J., Herbert, Alfred, George, Alice B. Welch (and George's mother Mary Welch) were living on Western Road, Tottenham[6].
