Biography

Margaret White was born in 1799 in Northern Ireland, the daughter of Elizabeth McDoll (McDowell?) and James White (married). She married Amos William Keyser on April 2, 1829, in Marshall, Virginia, now West Virginia. They had eight children in 13 years. She died on March 5, 1878, having lived a long life of 79 years. [1]

Husband, AMOS WILLIAM KEYSER, a farmer, was born 1807 in Belmont County OH, and died May 13, 1889 in Limestone, Marshall County, WV. Amos’ Will was dated 30th day of May 1888, one year prior to his death.

Children of Amos and Margaret Keyser are:

  2. ELIZABETH KEYSER, 1832-1870
  3. MARY JANE KEYSER, 1835-1875; m. SHIPLEY V. FISHER.
  4. JAMES KEYSER, 1837-after May 1888.
  5. MARGARET ANNE KEYSER, 1839-1866; m. WILSON SNYDER.
  6. JOHN LOVE KEYSER, 1842-1896. See Graves Reg. Card from Skip Maygar.
  7. HANNAH KEYSER (TWIN), born 1845; d. before 1888; m. BENJAMIN ANDERSON
  8. SARAH HARRIS KEYSER (TWIN), b. 1845; d. 1914, m. (1) WILLIAM MARTIN COFFIELD m. (2) RUBLE.
