My name is Tom White. I am 63 years old and have been tracing my family tree since I was 16 years old. I feel I owe many thanks to many people for all the information they have shared with me over these years. My Grandmother Emily May Matchett White was a great source for me and started me on this road back in the Summer of 1973. She was a walking family historian with an uncanny memory for detail. I invited her out to our family cottage in Muskoka one weekend and asked her all kinds of questions. I had a scribbler I wrote all the information down as she talked and let me tell you there was a lot of information! I then start my journey to search my relatives. This is a hobby I work on almost every day

Im Matty a WikiTree Mentor. How are you?
Our primary vision is to build a collaborative tree with just one profile per person, so please make sure to look for duplicates on WikiTree before adding a profile. Please look at how to write a biography and how to put sources in.
Having dates and locations attached to every person assists in our mission as well - if you have pre-1700s ancestors to add please read our Pre-1700 profiles info.
Check out How To Use WikiTree. Its a great step-by-step guide.
And Im here to help too, just ask!
