Biography

When Mary Cynthia White was born in September 1841 in Uxbridge, Massachusetts, her father, Aaron O. White, was 23 and her mother, Sarah (Howland) White, was 21. She was married three times and had two sons between 1865 and 1867. She died on June 15, 1903, in East Providence, Rhode Island, at the age of 61

Mary Cynthia White married Augustus Valentino Chilson (1834 – 1860) on November 24, 1859 in Foster, Providence County, Rhode Island.[1]

After her first husband Augustus Valentino Chilson died on December 5, 1860, she married secondly William Wirth Johnston (1833 – 1885) on October 29, 1862 in Providence, Providence County, Rhode Island.

After her second husband William Wirth Johnston died on September 12, 1885, she married thirdly William Smith (1821 – ?) about 1889 possibly in Rhode Island.
