Sarah was my grandmother. She died long before I was born.

She came to Canada with my father in Aug 1913. She was on her way back to England to settle affairs as her husband, my grandfather, had died in March 1913. The ship she was on was the SS Empress of Ireland when it was hit by another ship about 2am on 29 May 1914. The ship sank with little warning. My grandmothers body was never recovered. My Aunt also named Sarah was with her an her body was never found.

Hi Elaine,

I am working on the passengers of the Empress of Ireland. After creating a profile for Sarah, I noticed this profile. I will ask a merge for her. Thank you for accepting the merge.

Hi, Elaine! I just wanted to clarify that we are researching the same family. My Sarah Woodward is from my Dyer line. At least, I think I am right. She has a different father as well. Are you also on Ancestry.com. I have not yet fully learned the WikiTree. Myron
