NOTE: this profile seems to be a conflation between the daughter of Henry White II and Damaris in NC, probably born about 1680 or so, and the daughter of Mary Croshaw and a different Henry White, sister of Unity, mother of Unity, who lived in Virginia. As there already exists a profile corresponding to the latter, Mary (White) Smith, this particular profile should be made into the profile of the daughter of Henry White II and Damaris, which is what it once was as per bio text links on the profiles of that set of parents.
I have detached George Smith and daughter Unity already and attached to the other profile, and it appears that William Davis and family also should be moved to the other profile. I have a strong suspicion that Henry White II and the Henry White who was married to Mary Croshaw have been conflated with each other for a very, very long time. - Østenstad-1 22:28, 21 August 2020 (UTC)
The marriage to George Smith, and daughter Unity, seems to rightfully belong to Mary (White) Smith who died in 1687. Mary Croshaw as a mother also belongs to that family, as all the current siblings of that profile match that family. A lot of the ancestry sources below seem to belong to that Mary White, whose father was a different Henry White - this family is in Virginia.
Henry White II as a parent, and the marriage to William Davis, is the daughter of Damaris - the profile of Henry White II still has a link in the biography text that directs to this particular profile as his daughter with Damaris, so the mother must have been changed later, perhaps during a merge.
Note: I have moved George Smith and daughter Unity to Mary (White) Smith as that family certainly belongs together. I also added a copy of the original bio text of this profile (a gedcom import referring to ancestry com trees) as it seems to pertain to both the wife of Davis and the wife of Smith.
Most relevant paragraph from Joan Horsley's pdf, page 9:
"We are fortunate that one of the few surviving early King William records provides significant information about this Davis family. From it we learn the father was William whose first wife was a sister of Rebecca White. (Earlier records show that William Davis' wife Mary White and sister Rebecca White were daughters of Henry White and Mary Croshaw, and a third sister Unity married Ralph Graves, Jr.) The 1702 deed also shows that William and Mary White Davis had a son John, a daughter Sarah who married William Holloday, and two other surviving children who inherited their mother's sister's land. (Another King William record two months earlier shows William's current wife to be named Alice, and he could have had children by her as well.) We also have land grants and surveys that tell us William Davis' land was adjacent to John Waller (Sr) and to Ralph Graves, and that John Holloday had land adjacent to Capt. James Terry. Benjamin Davis also has Spotsylvania connections with children of John Waller, John Holloday, and relatives of Ralph Graves, and his daughter Sarah married Thomas Terry, a grandson of one of the Captains Terry, almost certainly James."
- this does *not* look like the daughter of Henry White II and Damaris Page.
Based on https://www.ncpedia.org/biography/white-henry-jr Henry White II had children with Mary until 1676, later married Damaris (Morison? Page?) and had multiple daughters of which daughter Mary (ostensibly this profile) is listed first, and he was living in NC no later than 1679. Thus, it seems that his daughter Mary would have been raised, and probably also born, in NC. - Østenstad-1 22:28, 21 August 2020 (UTC)

This profile seems to be a conflation of the daughter of Damaris and Henry White II, and Mary (White) Smith the daughter of a different Henry White and Mary Rose Croshaw.
Would someone please figure out what the correct information is for Henry White Jr./daughter Mary White Smith? The following sources have conflicting information:
Then there's this comment that Mary is the daughter of Henry's first wife and that Mary was married only once to William Davis: Mary White, daughter of Mary Croshaw and Henry White had only one husband,William Davis. She married by 1688 and was dead by 1704. Dorman, Adventurers of Purse and Person, Vol. 1 p.775
Mary White, daughter of Mary Croshaw and Henry White had only one husband,William Davis. She married by 1688 and was dead by 1704. Dorman, Adventurers of Purse and Person, Vol. 1 p.775
This source shows Mary White Smith is the daughter of Henry White and Henry's 2nd wife Damaris and NOT the daughter of his first wife Mary Croshaw and there is additional information about Henry's children https://www.ncpedia.org/biography/white-henry-jr that does not match information in this source provided below in another comment: http://www.joanhorsley.org/reports/Davis_Benjamin_I_REPORT_%2011_29_2017.pdf -- page 10.
Then there's this comment that Mary is the daughter of Henry's first wife and that Mary was married only once to William Davis: Mary White, daughter of Mary Croshaw and Henry White had only one husband,William Davis. And there's this comment - Did Mary White have two husbands? Or was Mary White, wife of George Smith, the niece of Mary White, wife of William Davis?
