Sarah White was the daughter of Jonathan and probably his first wife Hester (Nickerson) White probably born in Yarmouth. No known records give any other clues to her date of birth but it was presumably before Hester's death in 1703.[1] As with most of her siblings, Sarah's birth was not recorded, but she was named in her father's will, dated 14 July 1736, as Sarah White.[2][3]
She may have been the Sarah White buried in Yarmouth on 22 November 1762,[4] or she may have married Bernard Lumbart as his second wife after intentions were posted on 18 March 1741 in Barnstable[5]
and 22 March 1741 in Yarmouth.[6] He was born in April 1668 in Barnstable, the son of Jabez and Sarah (Derby) Lumbart. No children have been found for this couple. Nothing found on this Sarah in Barnstable County probate records or in Massachusetts Bay Acts & Resolves.[1]
