Gunner Samuel Whitehead served with 4th North Carolina Regiment, Continental Army during the American Revolution.

Military service in Captain Thomas Clark's Company of Artillery, General Henry Knox muster roll 1 Dec 1777. Clark was with the 4th Regiment North Carolina. Samuel was sick in hospital. [4]
