Biography
When George W. Whitehead was born on November 23, 1830, in Alabama, his father, James, was 32 and his mother, Elizabeth, was 33. He married Eliza West on January 30, 1851, in Lauderdale, Alabama. They had nine children in 16 years. He died on February 14, 1901, in Lauderdale, Alabama, at the age of 70, and was buried there.
