Frances (Whitehead) Clark was born in Appalachia, in Georgia.

Frances Whitehead was the only daughter of Burrell Whitehead and Frances Smith. She had half-siblings from her mother's marriage to Joseph Nail/Neal.

Frances Whitehead married Wiley Clark 9 May 1828 in Franklin County.[1]

Frances and Wiley Clark had twelve children. Eight of the children lived to adulthood. They were listed on the 1850 and 1860 censuses in Franklin County.[2][3] Frances is also listed as a widow living with one of her daughters in the 1880 census. [4]In 1880 Frances is living with her widowed daughter and some grandchildren. Frances is 72 years old and a widow. This is the last census where Frances appears.[5]

Frances Whitehead Clark died after the 1880 census but the exact date is unknown.
