Henry Bracewell Whitehead, son of Samuel Whitehead and his wife, Sarah, was born in 1843 ^[1] and was baptised at the Wesleyan church of St Peter in Leeds on 3 March 1844. ^[2] His family lived at Wheeler St in Leeds. ^[3]

On 1 February 1866 at St Stephen Burmantofts he married Eliza Ann Holmes. ^[4]

Henry died in 1901 ^[5] and was buried at the Becket St Cemetery on the 3rd of April. ^[6]
