John Whitehead was a prominent industrialist who owned cotton bleaching and dying mills in Lancashire, England. He was born on 19 May 1815 in Bury, Lancashire.[1] He married Eliza Ellen Allanson on 4 July 1838 and they had nine children.[2] He died on 16 April 1898.
