Biography

This profile is part of the Whitehead Name Study.

Francis Whitehead was one of sixteen children of John Whitehead and Sarah Burcher. [1] After the American Revolutionary War, Francis' father paid supply tax in Amherst county, Virginia, for which he is honored by the Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution as Ancsestor #A124466. [2]

On September 24, 1792, in Amherst county, Virginia, Frances Whitehead married John Powers. [3]

Frances (Whitehead) Powers died in 1811, in Frederick county, Virginia and was buried on the grounds of the family farm. [4]
