Carroll was born in February 1823 in Alabama, United States. He was the son of William B. Whitehead and Margaret Elizabeth Hunter.[1]

Whitehead-2451 and Whitehead-4814 appear to represent the same person because: Although these profiles aren't identical, they are similar enough for me to suggest a merge. The dates of birth and death are similar and the names of the parents are the same. I am also going to suggest merges for Caroll's parents also. The lack of sources in the 4814 profile makes it difficult to be more certain.
