When Norman Lewis Whitehead Jr. known by family as Junior, was born on July 23, 1918, in Arlington, Virginia, his father, Norman, was 28 and his mother, Grace, was 23. He married Carrie Mae Follin on May 24, 1940, in Maryland. They had two children during their marriage. Norman Lewis Whitehead II "Dutch" and Grace He died on June 27, 2011, in Gilbert, Arizona, at the age of 92, and was buried in Phoenix, Arizona.
