Biography

Rev. Thomas Whitehead was a prominent Methodist minister in Upper Canada. He emigrated from New Brunswick with his wife Ann and three sons, George W., Willard M. and Thomas C. shortly before the War of 1812. He was the first president of the Wesleyan Methodist Conference. He died in 1846 in Burford Township, Canada West (Ontario)[1] and was buried at the Burford Pioneer Cemetery.[2]
