Research Notes
Westmoor was a 4,329 GRT steam cargo ship completed in 1911 by J. Readhead & Sons Ltd. for Moor Line Ltd. and managed by W. Runciman & Co. She was sunk on 1 July 1918 by torpedo fired by German submarine U-91 at position 34° 10' N, 11° 47' W - approximately 210 nautical miles North-West by West of Casablanca. She was en route from Gibraltar to Buenos Aires in ballast.
