Biography from Lazell's Whiting Genealogy[1]: Timothy Whiting... b. 5 of the 11 mo., 1653... died at Dedham, Dec. 26, 1728[2], in 75th year (gravestone in First Parish Cemetery). He married Sarah Bullard, daughter of Isaac and Ann (Burnap-Wight) Bullard. [3]She was born, Dedham, 7:11 mo., 1658, and died 1732. He received ten shillings from the constable of Dorchester in 1679 for killing a wolf. On May 13, 1700, the town of Dedham voted to assist him with the loan of the school money because his corn mill had burned down. [4] He was a selectman in 1707. His will, dated Dec. 18, 1728, probated Jan. 9, 1728-9, calls himself "fuller," and mentions his wife, sons Timothy, Nathaniel and Joseph, and daughters Sarah, Elizabeth and Mehitable[5]. Her will, dated June 15, 1732, probated Sept. 1, 1732, names above six children and sons-in-law, John Baker, Ephraim Colburn and Joseph Colburn. [6]

Their children, all recorded at Dedham except Joseph, were:

  2. Sarah, 15:9:1682; d. Dedham, Jan. 19, 1769; m. there Oct. 22, 1701, John Baker.
  3. Mary, 4:12:1684; d. 22:12:1684.
  4. Timothy, Dec. 15, 1685.
  5. Nathaniel, Sept. 23, 1688.
  6. Joseph. (Not recorded, but named in wills.)
  7. Elizabeth, May 21, 1694; m. Boston, Dec. 5, 1709, Ephraim Colburn. [7]
