With siblings Ann (14), Susannah (10), George (5), Jane (3) & parents in 1851 living in Hartwith, Yorkshire.[4]
A farmer's son with sisters Jane (23), Isabella (17) & widowed father in 1871 farming 258 acres in Hartwith, Yorkshire.[5]
The marriage by Licence of William Whitley (full) (bachelor) (farmer) [of Hartwith] & Jane Atkinson (full) (spinster) [of Darley] was conducted on 28 June 1871, Hartwith Chapel, Yorkshire. Father of bride & groom noted as Thomas Atkinson (manufacturer) & John Whitley (farmer). [6]
A domestic gardener in 1891 with wife Jane & children Annie (12), Sam (9), Isabelle (6), Jane (4), Minnie (2) in Menwith with Darley, Yorkshire.[7]
