Biography
Son of Paul Whitley (1734-1770) and Jane Kirkham (1744-1820).
DOB also given as 1745 (unsourced), but other sources give 1756.
Robert Whitley married Jane "Ginney" Sharp (1752-1812) in 1765 in Rockbridge Co, VA. They had at least four children: Mary (1766-1812); Jean (1772-1812); Sarah "Sally" (1774-1817); David Rufus (1776-1844).
Robert Whitley's will was probated on 15 Jul 1802 (Tazewell County Will Book No. 1, page 16).
Robert was born about 1756. He passed away in 1802.
