Biography
Sarah Whitney was born on 25 February 1752 in Stamford, Connecticut. She was the daughter of Eliasaph Whitney and Mary Bishop.[1] Stephen Whitney Phoenix's Whitney Family of Connecticut (1878) says that she was baptized in Middlesex (Darien) on 29 March 1752.[2]
Sarah married Benjamin James about 1763 at Fairfield, CT - parents of Huldah, Stephen, Robert & Elizabeth (all of he childen were born in CT) - they later moved to Canada
