Biography

Eleanor (Whitney) Fairchild was born on 27 Jan 1693 in Norwalk, Fairfield, Connecticut, daughter of John Whitney (~1645 - ~1720) and Elizabeth (Smith) Whitney (1655 - 1741).[1]

Her siblings were:

  3. Henry Whitney (1680 - 1728)
  4. Elizabeth (Whitney) Keeler (~1684 - 1763)
  5. Richard Whitney Sr. (1687 - ~1734)
  6. Nathan Whitney (~1690 - )
  7. Anne (Whitney) St. John (~1691 - ~1773)
  8. Sarah (Whitney) Smith (1697 - 1720)
  9. Josiah Whitney (~1700 - ~1750)

Eleanor married Jonathan Fairchild (1692 - 1772) on 13 Oct 1717 in Norwalk.[2] Their children were:

  1. Thomas Fairchild (1718 - >1779)
  2. Abraham Fairchild (1720 - 1803)
  3. Daniel Fairchild (1727 - 1765)
  4. Eleanor Helen (Fairchild) Betts (1730 - 1825)
  5. Samuel Fairchild (1733 - 1820).

Eleanor died on 25 Jan 1777 in Norwalk aged 83.
