Biography

He was the son of Charles Whitney and Maude Porter

Harold Elvin was born in 1911.[1]

Harold was part of the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) when he first moved to Idaho, then he began employment on the Union Pacific Railroad in Cascade, Idaho, living in the rail shacks and he saved every dime he could. He was preparing a home and saving to ask the hand of Ethel in marriage and have a beautiful wedding.

In 1936 Harold married Ethel V.(Holm) Whitney Holm-611 in Nampa, Idaho. Settling from Nampa to Cascade, Idaho. Where they raised their children, Jean "Jeannie", Linda, Steve and John "Johnny".

Working for the Union Pacific Railroad, stationed in Nampa then Cascade, Idaho area until retiring. Upon retiring they settled in Emmett, Idaho and spent their remainder of their years together camping and enjoying the great outdoors.

He passed away in 1980 at the age of 69 and is buried at Emmett Cemetery located in Emmett, Gem County, Idaho Find A Grave: Memorial #87185706 .
