Biography

Samuel was the son of Samuel Whitney and Phebe Harrington

Birth certificate says he was born 18 Apr 1774 in Marlboro, Vermont^[1] and headstone says 18 Apr 1772 (note that the headstone is a newer one and could have been a mistake by family members of later years)

Samuel married Susanna Kimball on 7 Apr 1793 in Marlboro, Vermont^[2]

They joined the Mormons and died in that colony and were buried in Kirtland. He resided Marlboro, VT, and Kirtland, OH.
