Biography

Samuel was the son of Samuel Whitney and Phebe Harrington

Birth certificate says he was born 18 Apr 1774 in Marlboro, Vermont[1] and headstone says 18 Apr 1772 (note that the headstone is a newer one and could have been a mistake by family members of later years)

Samuel married Susanna Kimball on 7 Apr 1793 in Marlboro, Vermont[2]


They joined the Mormons and died in that colony and were buried in Kirtland. He resided Marlboro, VT, and Kirtland, OH.

Samuel was about 72 when he passed away he was buried at Kirtland North Cemetery located in Kirtland, Lake County, Ohio,[3]
