There was no birth record for Hannah as the daughter of John and Ruth (Reynolds) Whitney in Watertown records. She "fit" into the family in the Whitney book in 1658.

I have no marriage or death record for her either. She was named in the 1693 agreement drawn up by John Whitney's administrators and signed by mark for her share in 1695.

There are many persons named Hannah Whitney in the Watertown and MA Vital records. They are not easily sorted out unless there are probate or land records that provide a married surname. In this case, that doesn't exist. The Whitney book provided no marriage or death information.

If you want to merge them, I have no problem, but I don't think there is a known death date or known marriage, and recommend that they be deleted from this profile..

Hi Randy,

I understand your reluctance to merge the two Hannahs, given the differing dates. Do you have a cite for the dates of her birth and death? Thanks, Vic

Hi Cheyenne,

Randy Seaver is reluctant to merge the two Hannahs, given the differing dates. Do you have a cite for the dates of her birth and death and for the name of her father? Thanks, Vic

Whitney-725 and Whitney-275 do not represent the same person because: different birth and death dates. One is probably daughter of John and Ruth (Reynolds) Whitney. The other may be the same person but it's impossible to tell.

Whitney-725 and Whitney-275 appear to represent the same person because: Same name but different information. It would be rare, although not unheard of, for there to be two daughters with the same name from the same wife.

Are these really two daughters, or are they the same person with wrong information? Is the death date for Whitney-725 correct? Are the mothers for both correct?

Whitney-1749 and Whitney-275 appear to represent the same person because: Same names, birth dates/year, birth location. These should be merged together because they are a match. Thanks
