Mary C. Waddell Died September 2, 2001 TRAVERSE CITY - Mary C. Waddell, 89, a lifelong resident of Traverse City, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 2, 2001, at Munson Medical Center. Mary was born on June 14, 1912, in Solon Township in Leelanau County, the daughter of Albert and Charlotte (Winstanley) Whitten. Mary was employed in the Central Supply department of Munson Medical Center until her retirement in 1976. Mary was also an avid gardener. She is survived by one son, Glen (Peggy) Troutwine of Spring Hill, Fla.; two granddaughters, Pamela Buford of Metairie, La., and Sherrie Metcalf of West Bloomfield; one grandson, David Troutwine of Spring Hill, Fla.; and four great-grandchildren. There will be a graveside service at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 22 at Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens in Traverse City. The Rev. Bonnie Smith will officiate. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Traverse City Chapel of Covell Funeral Homes.
