Mrs. Hemingway later worked as a purchasing agent for Sun Valley Co. and United Airlines. She married Jack Hemingway, son of Nobel Prize-winning author, on June 25, 1949, in Paris. The couple settled in Ketchum, where Ernest Hemingway committed suicide in 1961." [The Spokesman-Review - Jun 26, 1988]

She was 66. Mrs. Hemingway, the wife of author, businessman and outdoors-man Jack Hemingway of Ketchum, was born Byra L. Whittlesey on Jan. 5, 1922, to Horace and Byra Whittlesey in Pocatello. She attended the University of Idaho and the College of Idaho, ...
