Biography

According to the dates on the Find a Grave Memorial, Caswell was born in 1826; the estimated DOB on the 1850 Census is 1827.

Residence 1850: Chatham County, North Carolina as Caswell D Wicker age 23 in household of Nathanl Clegg. His occupation is listed as mechanic. Nathaniel Clegg was a farmer and it is possible the family took boarders as there are a number of unrelated people with various occupations listed in the household.^[1]

Marriage: 1851 to Mary Utley in Chatham County, North Carolina.^[2]

Private in CSA with Co G 17th Mississippi Infantry ^[3], ^[4], ^[5]
