Biography
Thomas S. Wicks was born September 8, 1866 and married Phoebe Andrus on March 20, 1889 at Tylerville, New York. Phoebe was the daughter of David Andrus and Roxy Hitchcock Andrus. Thomas S. Wicks was the son of Benjamin Wicks (born 1817). and Nancy Scovil Wicks (born 1843). After their marriage they lived on the Clements place near East Rodman and still later on the C. D. Hadcock place on the South Road in the town of Rutland. In 1906 they moved to the Davenport place near Copenhagen where Thomas died from the effects of a fall from the hay loft on January 5, 1922. Phoebe, Thomas' wife, fell and broke her hip at the home of her son Frank where she was residing. She died June 14, 1956 at age 86. Thomas S. Wicks and his wife Phoebe Andrus Wicks are buried in the Copenhagen Cemetery at Copenhagen, Lewis, New York.

Thomas S. Wicks died January 5, 1922 from a fall in the barn. Phebe Andrus Wicks, his wife, moved in with her daughter Ruth Amy Wicks and son-in-law Bernard John Henry. Phebe sold the farm and had to move out.
