Biography

Cassandra Susanna Widener (daughter of William Butler Widener and Mary "Polly" Osborne) was born Abt. 1852 in Georgia,

Cansada Widener was married to Richard Henry Lightfoot Jr. until his death in 1890. In 1891 she married William David Jackson Sr.., unto this marriage were born three children, two boys and one girl, Charles, Jacob and Mary. The following obituary was kindly submitted by Find A Grave member Sue - Gainesville Daily register, Gainesville, Texas, 20 August 1925: Mrs. C. E. Jackson Dies At Home Here 0 0 Mrs. Cansada E. Jackson, 73 died at home 701 Lawrence Street Wednesday evening at 11:10 o'clock, following an illness of some time. She is survived by seven grown children: E. W. Lightfoot, Floydada, Texas; R. L. Lightfoot, Flavonia, Texas; J. F. and E. A. Lightfoot of Phoenix, Arizona; A. O. Lightfoot, Bishop, Texas; Mrs. Alice Haney and Jack Jackson of Gainesville. Funeral services will be held at Dexter some time Friday, the time not being set until advised is received from sons of the deceased in Phoenix - S. W. Gibson has charge of arrangements.
