"Thos ye Son of Josias and Isabella Wiggins, April 17, 1715 at Jamaica"[1]
Thomas died, probably in November 1785, intestate, as on the 16th of that month his widow Susanna was made administrix of his estate, with fellowbondsman John Quick, yeoman, both of Knowlton. Inventory by John McMurtrie and John Quick amounted to £14.18.0.[2]

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Thomas by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Thomas:

I'm not sure where 1718 came from, but if it's a guess, then I suspect that Thomas is this guy.

I'm going to be working on Josias and Isabella as I've just discovered them as ancestors of mine.... I will poke back in when I have Josias and a bit more evidence to support my assertion.
EDIT: the preview version of my reasoning is that I'm nearly certain he's the brother of William Wiggins (whose son Samuel I'm documented here. They, their uncle Gersham, and perhaps other branches of Wigginses all seem to have come to Sussex from Jamaica/Hempstead....
