Catherine was born in about 1767. She was the eldest daughter of the Reverend Edward Wight.
She married Reverend John Crossley Seymour in January 1789. They had 24 children.

"The Reverend John-Crossley Seymour, vicar of Cahirelley, in the diocese of Cashel. This gentleman m. in Jan. 1789, Catherine, eldest daughter. and co-heir (with her sister Frances, living, unmarried) of the Reverend Edward Wight, rector of Meelick, in the county, and of St. Munchins, in the city of Limerick, by whom he had numerous progeny (twenty-four children) of which lived to maturity the following eight sons and six daus ... III. [third son] John-Crossley Seymour of Coolnagower, in the Queen's Co., m. his cousin, Frances-Maria, only daughter of Aaron-Crossley Seymour, Esq. of the East India Company's service, and has issue. She lived with her husband and children at Castletown House, County Laois, Ireland.
Her husband passed away in 1831.
