Biography

Ida May Wilbur[1] was born on 4 Feb. 1879 at New York, USA.[2] She appeared on the census of 10 June 1880 in the household of her parents, Jacob Wilbur and Elizabeth (Webster) Wilbur, at Fairplain, Montcalm County, Michigan.[3] She appeared on the census of 1 June 1885 in the household of her parents at Charles Mix County, South Dakota.[4]

She married Thomas N. Chapman, son of William E. Chapman and Sarah Angeline (Milligan) Chapman, on 20 Sep. 1899 at Battle Creek, Calhoun County, Michigan. Her brother, John J. Wilbur, and sister, Mary Wilbur, were the witnesses.[5]

She and Thomas appeared on the census of 19 June 1900 at Wilson Township, Gentry Co., Missouri.[6] She and Thomas appeared on the census of 5 May 1910 at Liberty, Barry Co., Missouri.[7] She and Thomas appeared on the census of 19 Jan 1920 at Wilson, Gentry Co., Missouri.[8] She appeared on the census of 4 April 1930 at Enterprise, Dickinson Co., Kansas in the home of her son-in-law, Ernest E. Lunt, and daughter Odessa.[9] She appeared on the census of 24 April 1940 at Darlington, Gentry County, Missouri.[10]

Ida died on 26 Feb. 1951 at Darlington, Gentry County, Missouri, at age 72 and was buried on 1 March 1951 at High Ridge Cemetery, Stanberry, Gentry County, Missouri. Her memorial has links to family members and a copy of her death certificate.[2]
