While George is shown with parents John Wilcoxson and Sarah Boone on numerous trees on the internet, there are no sources to prove this information, nor any attempt to explain the parents.

In addition, there are numerous records from Ancestry.com Edmund West, comp.. Family Data Collection, Provo, UT, USA: Ancestry.com Operations Inc, 2001. These records all indicate his parents are Sarah Boone and John Wilcoxson, but list too many different birth years to be considered accurate.
