Charles was born about 1812 Upper Canada to Nathaniel and Sarah (Crittenden) Wilder. Husband of Ruina Mann. He passed away on 27 April 1871 in Huron, Michigan. He is buried at Colfax Cemetery in Bad Axe, Michigan.
