Reason H. Wilder was born 18 April 1818,[1] Laurens County, South Carolina, the son of Robuck (Roebuck) Solomon Wilder Roebuck Wilder and Anna P. Holland Wilder Anna Holland. Note, given name is sometimes spelled: "Rezon".
Reason married his first wife: Adaline Templeton on 13 September 1842 in Lawrence County, Alabama.[2]
Reason, his wife, Adaline, son, William R., and brother William F. Wilder were living in Pontotoc County, Mississippi in October 1850, Federal Census.[3]
Reason was living in Terre Noire, Clark County, Arkansas when he married his second wife, Margaret Front, on 19 July 1863, in Clark County, Arkansas.[4]
Reason appears in the 1870 Federal census in Clark county, Arkansas. Reason's household appears as follows: Reason age 52, occupation farmer; wife Margret age 47 and E.H. Taner age 26, servant.[6]
Reason appears in the 1880 Federal census in Clark county, Arkansas. Reason's household appears as follows: Rieson age 62, occupation: farmer and the census taker noted in column 15: Is person sick or temporarily disabled . . . that Reason had: "Nervous Affection"; wife - Margaret age 55; and daughter - Ella age 15.[7]
Reason married a Malinda Tipton, his third wife, on the 1st of October 1885 in Clark county, Arkansas.[8]
Rezon H. Wilder died 1 May 1896, and is buried at the Clear Spring Cemetery, Clark County, Arkansas.[9]
