Major James Wilder was the son of James Wilder.[1] He was born April 30, 1710, in Lancaster, Massachusetts.[2]
James advanced in rank, becoming a Major in the first Lancaster Company. In the regiment of Colonel Joseph Wilder, he served in the French and Indian Wars in August 1761.[1]
James Wilder married, as her second husband, Martha (Wheeler) Broughton, December 24, 1734, in Lancaster, Massachusetts.[3][4]
Major James Wilder died January 15 or 16, 1780 in Lancaster, Massachusetts.[6]
