Due to her being mother of a PGM immigrant and there being conflict about her last name at birth, she is being protected and tracked by the Puritan Great Migration project. If the England project would like to protect her instead, we would happily transfer profile management to them.

Biography

Her parents Joan (Marshall) and John Wylie or Wylley were married on 07 Oct 1540 at Thorley, Hertfordshire, England and her brother John was baptized there on 04 August 1541.

She was born on 13 Nov 1545 [1] and christened at Thorley, Hertfordshire, England.

Agnes Wylley or Willie first married on 11 May 1561 at Thorley, Bishop's Stortford, Hertfordshire, England to John Denison. [1] Their younger children were baptized between 1567 and early 1583 at Bishop's Stortford, Hertfordshire, England. [1] John Denison was buried at Stortford, 4 Dec 1582. [1]

Agnes married secondly as a widow on 03 May 1584 at Bishop's Stortford, Hertfordshire, England to John Gace. [1]

Agnes married thirdly as a widow on 18 May 1603 in the neighboring parish of Little Haddam, Hertfordshire, England to John Wall, Sr. of Bishop's Stortford (son of Nicholas Wall of Great Hallingbury, Essex). [1] No children are known to be born from this marriage. [1] John Wall was buried on 02 Sep 1602 at Bishop's Stortford, Hertfordshire, England. [1] He left a last Will which was proved in November 1613 [1] and mentioned his wife Agnes, her sons William and Edward Denison, and children from his previous marriage: Agnes, Bennet, William and Mary. [1]

No further info or burial has yet been found for Agnes. [1]

Was it John Grace who was buried on 2 September 1602 not John Wall? Agnes is said to have married John Wall 1603. John Gace’s will proved 20 September 1602, link here - New England Historical and Genealogical Register 1893-01: Vol 47 page 110 https://archive.org/details/sim_new-england-historical-and-genealogical-register_1893-01_47/page/110/mode/2up?q=Dennyson

Is there any reason for her to be PGM? It doesn't appear she ever left England and died likely before any migration.

I've changed it to adjunct. PPP is probably still required due to spelling discrepancies. I'm happy if England project would like to take on co management.

is there a typo in Agnes' birthplace? I cannot find "Bishops Stratford" but there is a Bishops Stortford in Hertfordshire, ENG.

Wylley-9 and Wylley-8 appear to represent the same person because: Ppp has been moved to lower numbered profile so merge can continue.

Wylley-8 and Wylley-9 do not represent the same person because: One profile is protected so no merge can be done

I agree the merge is ready but this profile is Project Protected. BTW, this profile is not the one that should be protected since it is the higher numbered one. Does the NEHGR Vol 158 article make a case for this spelling? Everyone else in her family is spelled Willie.

The merge betwee this profile & Wylley-8nis ready to go. Since this profile is PP, the merge must be completed by a project member. Will one of the PMs please take care of this?

Willie or wylie-1 and Willie-54 appear to represent the same person because: Duplicate profiles.

Wiley-223 and Willie-54 appear to represent the same person because: same parents and husband
posted by Robin Lee
Wiley-223 and Willie-56 appear to represent the same person because: they have the same name, husband and marriage date. Recommend using Willie for LNAB because the next older generation is spelled Willie. Wiley can be added to the data field for "Other Last Names".
