I suspect that this Nance E. Wiley was the wife of Elijah Ebigah Wiley, as she is listed as having been born in VA (and both of her parent's) in the 1880 Lawrence County, Kentucky census, Household #125. Elihue Wiley is residing next door to his his parent's Thomas and Eveline Nelson Wiley who were both listed as being born in KY (and both their parent's born in KY), whereas, this Nancy E. Wiley age 28 is not marked the same. All of the children, including Elihue are listed as born in WV and their parent's born in KY. I suggest you locate Ebigha Elijah Wiley's death record on Ancestry.com and note that his wife's first name was Nancy. His death record lists his name as "Ebiga Wylie" and his wife's name as "Nancy Wylie" and his paren'ts names as Thomas Wylie and Eveline Nelson. The informant was Tip Wheeler of Yatesville, Lawrence Co., KY. My interest in this family comes from the Nelson line, as Eveline Nelson Wiley was a sister to Farmer Nelson that was married to my 2x great grandmother Matilda Maynard Nelson. Their youngest sons, William Nelson b. 1859 and Farmer Nelson Jr b. May 1862 married daughters of Elihue Wiley - William Nelson married Margaret Wiley and Farmer Nelson Jr married Sarah Ann Wiley. These couples, along with Elihue Wiley went into the Dakota Territory in 1883 after Farmer and Sarah Nelson married, and Farmer Nelson Jr died in 1885, leaving Sarah pregnant. She with her father and sister and her husband William Nelson, returned to Wayne Co., WV to get back with family. Sarah Wiley Nelson married her cousin Spenser Wiley and he adopted her son George Nelson and he became George Wiley. My great grandfather is Ulysses Grant Nelson, b. 1869, the son produced from Matilda Maynard Nelson a widow and her intimate relationship with Lewis Caleb Queen b. 1844 (husband of Pinkston Stanley).
