He was married 5 November 1872 in Union County, Kentucky to Lydia R. Martin [recorded as Lidia R. Martin].[4] They had four children.
They moved to Stoddard County, Missouri, where he was employed in the Saw Mill business.
Joseph died 11 February 1906 in Bloomfield, Stoddard, Missouri and is buried in Bluff Cemetery, Idalia, Stoddard County, Missouri. [1]
