George was born in 1786 in Stokes County, North Carolina. He was the son of John Wilkins and Sarah Webb. He married Elizabeth Joyce. They farmed in Snow Creek, Stokes, North Carolina where he passed away in 1875 at age 89.

Probate Records have George’s Will written 29 Jan 1874, probated 1875. Affidavit in a suit filed by daughter Nancy Wilkins Brown in May 1876 states George’s death occurred late July last (July 1875), his wife’s death Feb last (Feb 1876).
George’s Will named Henry H. Brown as Executor. It gave George’s only living child Nancy Wilkins Brown $10, all land and other property going to Henry H.Brown, her son-in-law married to Nancy’s daughter Lockie. Estate files in 1876 show suit brought by daughter Nancy Wilkins Brown against her son-in-law Henry H. Brown claiming fraudulant Will with affidavits submitted by their lawyers. Judgement was given to Nancy.
