William Wilkins was born in Northamptonshire, England.

William Wilkins was born about 1820 and baptised on 22 Oct 1820 in Chacombe, Northamptonshire, England, United Kingdom. He was the son of Daniel Wilkins and Susanna Dyson Blencowe. [1] NB - He had a brother, also called William and born in 1813, who died in 1814.

On the 1841 census, William (a shoemaker, age 20) was living with his parents, Daniel and Susanna Wilkins, Hannah Wilkins (age 20) and his grandfather, William Blencowe in Chacombe. [2]

William Wilkins, (batchelor of Warmington, Warwickshire, son of Daniel Wilkins) married Mary Susan Sewell, (spinster of Radway, Warwickshire) on 5th September 1848 in Radway, Warwickshire, England, United Kingdom. [3]

In 1851, William Wilkins (30), a boot and shoe manufacturer and his wife, Mary Susanna (30) are living in Windmill Hill, Warmington, Banbury, Oxfordshire, England, United Kingdom with their baby daughter, Susanna Selina (2 months, born Warmington, Warwickshire) and 14 year old nursemaid, Susan Braine. On the 1861 census, William Wilkins (39, a shoemaker), his wife, Mary S Wilkins (40, a shoe binder) and their four children, Walter W (11), Susan J (10), Arthur A (4) and Alexander (1) were living with William's widower father, Daniel Wilkins (62, stonemason), in Chacombe, Northamptonshire, England, United Kingdom. In 1871, William Wilkins (50, a shoemaker, born in Chacombe, Northamptonshire), his wife, Mary S Wilkins (51, a shoe binder, born in Chacombe, Northamptonshire) and their children, Arthur S Wilkins (14, born in Warmington, Warwickshire), Alexander Wilkins (10, scholar, born in Chacombe, Northamptonshire) and Ellen M Wilkins (6, scholar, born in Chacombe, Northamptonshire) were still living in a cottage in Chacombe, Northamptonshire, England United Kingdom. William Wilkins died the following year, on 18th February 1889, age 68 and was buried with his wife and son, John in the churchyard of St Peter & St Paul, Chacombe, Northamptonshire, England, United Kingdom. [10][11]
