Her sister Mary Ann Wilkins married John Stovall, Jr., a brother of her husband Bartholomew Stovall. The families lived on adjacent farms along the western branches of Jonathan's Creek (present-day Little Johnson Creek) in Country Line District (present-day Oak Hill Township), Granville County, North Carolina.
